Meet Josette Loaiza
JOSETTE LOAIZA is a Senior Commercial Escrow Officer with 25+ years experience in the escrow and title industries. She focuses exclusively on Commercial closings for properties throughout the United States. She is experienced in closing multi-site/multi-state portfolios, high-liability transactions, exchanges, defeasances, regional shopping centers and those transactions which require an open-minded approach. She prides herself in providing excellent customer service and making sure each closing is smooth and seamless. Her title background and close work with the underwriters allows her to understand the total transaction and provide a one-stop shop so that customers are not working through multiple units.
Josette’s career began in 1989 as an Assistant in the Commercial Escrow Accounting Department. She had various positions including: Escrow Assistant (Commercial), Prelim/Policy Typist, Sales Administrative Assistant, DRE Processing Assistant, Escrow Officer (Residential/REO/Refi) and Title Assistant (Commercial/Subdivision). In 2001, she was fortunate to work under a group of her mentors for the National Title Services Division of Stewart Title Guaranty Company. It was here that she explored and learned about commercial closings throughout the United States.
In October, 2014, Josette accepted a position at Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and reunited with many previous colleagues. She now oversees the National Commercial Title Services in City of Industry, CA. In addition to promoting national escrow/closing services and working on technology upgrades, her staff also supports the Energy Division by providing Closing Services and Title Examination/Production for various Energy projects nationally. Her team works closely with in-house attorneys/underwriters to bring a wealth of title and escrow experience to each transaction.
Josette loves to travel, spend time with her two grown children and learn new things. This year she is excited to represent the Escrow Associates of San Gabriel Valley (EASGV) as Vice President, CEA/AEA Director and Education Committee Chair. She feels that bringing education to the local regions is a very important part of being a seasoned Escrow Professional. She enjoys sharing information and wants to see the newcomers (“newbies”) learn from our experiences – successes and failures alike and become future Industry leaders.
